Maintenance Guide

Southern Steel 10120AM Lock Maintenance

Refer to the General Maintenance Guidelines before attempting any adjustments to the Southern Steel 10120AM lock.

Adjustments to this lock should be performed by a qualified locksmith.  These adjustments are offered as a guide in detecting and resolving problems that may occur with lock operation. For additional information, contact Weizel Security.

If the lock jambs, remove the lock cover plate and inspect the internal lock components for unusual wear or breakage. Also, check all electric wires for loose connections, exposed conductors, or improper connection.

Adjustments for the 10120AM lock are as follows.

Lock Bolt and Roller Bolt Switch

The red indicator light on the control panel should illuminate when the lock bolt is retracted and roller bolt is retracted (door is unlocked).
Adjust the lock bolt switch (or switch actuator) and the roller bolt switch (or actuator) to obtain proper light indication.
If proper roller bolt or lock operation can not be achieved, there may be a problem with the travel of the bolts. Contact Weizel Security for adjustment procedures.

Motor Run Switch
Adjust the motor run switch so that when the lock bolt rocker is completely down electric power is interrupted (motor stops).

Lubrication
General guidelines for lubricating the 10120AM lock are included in the General Maintenance Guidelines.
